Caprivi strip
The Caprivi strip, formerly known as Itenge, is a narrow strip of land in norht-eastern Namibia. The area has high rainfall and accordingly dense vegetation.

Location: North-eastern Namibia, Length: About 400 km, Altitude: 1000 m, Rivers: Okavango river, Kwando river, Zambezi river, Linyanti river and Chobe river, Borders: Angola, Zambia and Botswana.

Bwabwata National Park
Formerly the Caprivi Game Reserve. This park extends along the Okavango river for 180 km, and is a large area of unspoilt wilderness. Location: Caprivi, Namibia, Size: 5715 sq. km, Altitude: appr. 1000 m

Mamili National Park
Remote, wild and beautiful wetland area centered around Nkasa and Lupala islands in eastern Caprivi. The Linyanti and Kwando rivers flows through the park. Mudumu National Park

Along the eastern shore of Kwando river, in a very pristine wilderness area, lies Mudumu National Park. An abundance of water makes this area a lush subtropical green with riverine forest and marshes. Many typical savanna and woodland species dwells in the park, among them the rare sitatunga and he very rare african wild dog. Birding is good. In fact, over 420 species of birds have been recorded.

Camp Kwando is situated on the border of the Mudumu National Park in the Eastern Caprivi. We have 11 tented chalets with ensuite bathrooms and 3 luxury treehouses on the bank of the Kwando river. Campsite covered with lawn and shaded. Swimmingpool, bar and restuarant fasilities availeble.
