Lope National Park


In the centre of Gabon, alongside the river Ogooue, in a landscape of forests and savannahs lies Lope National Park. This park (4 970 sq. km) is known for the large monkeys living there and for the many bird species.

Minkebe National Park


Minkebe National Park is located in north-eastern Gabon close to the Cameroon border. The park is 7570 sq. km in area and home to some very rare species such as the bongo and the giant forest pig.


Crystal Mountains National Park


The 1200 sq. km large park Monts de Cristal, is a few hours by car from Libreville. This is a very rich area in terms of plant species.


Moukalaba-Doudou National Park


A little known 4500 sq. km large park in south western Gabon. Includes the Nyanga plains, the Doudou mountains and large papyrus marshes downstreams the river Nyanga. Many animals lives here, among them waterbucks, gorillas, elephants etc.

Pongara National Park


Pongara lies south of Libreville - a half an hour with boat. The park has large areas of mangrove, forest and savannah.
