Wildlife in Africa
Aardwolves are native to Kenya, Tanzania and southern africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Angola and Namibia).
They are some times mistaken for being hyaenas, although they are not scavengers but insecteaters, able to consume more than 200 000 termites during a night,

The african linsang is endemic to Gabon (Akanda NP), Congo and a few other countries in central Africa.
The cat inhabits the rainforest regions in these countries, like the Irangi rainforest in Congo and the Makokou rainforest in Gabon,
Leightons Linsang is considered a subspecie of the african linsang.

The ostrich is native to Africa. With a weight of around 130 kg and a height of 2,4 m, it is the largest living bird today.
Ostriches thrives on the savanna and is common in Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya (Masai Mara) and Kruger, South Africa.

Warthogs spend most of their day searching for food.
They are common in Africa south of Sahara, usually in open areas like the savannah.
Warthogs are frequent in Kruger NP, South Africa; Kafue and south Luangwa NPs, Zambia; Ruaha, Tarangire and Serengeti NPs, Tanzania.

The south african porcupine is the largest rodent in southern Africa and feeds on tubers, roots and fruits.
The body of the porcupine is covered with long, sharp spines shich does not make it an easy meal for predators.
This rodent is found in Angola, Congo, Tanzania, Zambia and as far south as South Africa.

Caracals are night-active cats, common in Africa in areas with semideserts or savannah.
They survive in dry areas due to their ability to get the needed water from body fluids in their prey.
In Kenya, caracals are found in Amboseli NP, Tsavo NP and in the Masai mara reserve.
