Gombe Stream National Park

The Gombe Stream National Park, located near the shores of Lake Tanganyika, is the smallest of Tanzanias national parks. It was formed to give protection to chimpanzees but is home to other kinds of monkeys as well.

Mahale Mountains National Park

Mahale Mountains National Park is inaccessible by road and one of the more remote parks in Tanzania. The wilderness of Mahale hosts wild chimpansees and the highest mountain is Nkungwe.
