Wildlife in Africa
The endangered west african manatee lives in rivers and along the atlantic coast of Africa as far south as the Kwanza river in Angola,
They might grow 4,5 m long and reach a weigth of 350 kg.

The Addax is an antelope that inhabits the desert of northern Africa.
These desert antelopes are very well adopted to dry areas and can do without drinking water over a period of time, as they get the needed water from the plants they feed on.
Sadly, they are threatened by extinction. There is very few left.

The long-haired Rousette is a fruit bat mesuring upto 15 cm in length.
It is distributed in moist mountainous regions throughout east- and central Africa.

African rock pythons are large non venomous snakes found in subsaharan Africa.
How long can they be? Well, some say 6 m others say 8. No one knows, they grow as long as they live.

The Cape wolf snake is distributed throughout most of Africa from South Africa to Egypt, except for the Cape and the Namib desert.
This nocturnal constrictor reach a length of 50 cm and feeds on lizards.

Kobus vardonii or the Puku lives in Congo, Angola, Zambia, Botswana and possibly Namibia.
This graceful antelope stand aprox. 80 cm off the ground and thrives in dambos and marshy grasslands.
