Kruger National Park |
Kruger National Park is an unspoilt wilderness and the largest national park in South Africa. The reserve is home to the big five and several other species. Several rivers flow through the park, among them Limpopo river, Olifants river and Sabi river. Kruger national park, the Gonarezhou national park in Zimbabwe and the Limpopo national park in Mozambique forms the Great Limpopo transfrontier park.

Short history:
1898:Sabie Game Reserve is created.
1926:The Sabie game reserve, the adjacent Shingwedzi game reserve, and some farms are combined to create the Kruger national park.
1927:Kruger national park opens to the public.
1969:Kruger national park expands with 198.42 sq. km.

Kruger national park is situated in the Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces of South Africa,
To the north lies Zimbabwe with the Gonarezhou national park, Manjinji Pan sanctuary and the Malipati safari area; to the east Mozambique with the Limpopo national park.
