Aardwolves are native to Kenya, Tanzania and southern africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Angola and Namibia).
They are some times mistaken for being hyaenas, although they are not scavengers but insecteaters, able to consume more than 200 000 termites during a night,
