North-western Zambia is a Zambian province situated at the Congo/Angola border. The Busanga Swamps and Busanga plain are part of North-western Ambia, so is the Zambezi grasslands.

West Lunga National Park |
West Lunga offers 1684 sq. km of swamps, forests and open grassland. This pristine corner of Zambia is a true wilderness and little visited by safari tourists. The park is believed to be the home to the white-chested tinkerbird and the red-throated crested guinea fowl.
In the east and south the reserve is bordeed by the Kabompo river and in the west by the West Lunga river. The largest evergreen forest in Africa outside of the equatorial zone is found here in West Lunga.
According to locals, Sable Antelope, Roan Antelope, yellow backed duikers and other wildlife thrives in the thick vegetation.

Nchila Wildlife Reserve |
Privatly owned reserve in the Mwinilunga district of north-western Zambia. The Luakela Forest Reserve and the Chitunta Plain which are important bird areas, are not far away from Nchila.
